ENGINEERING MATERIALS

Polyamide PA
Properties:

  • High resilience
  • High fatigue resistance, high vibration control
  • High resistance to UV radiation
  • High resistance to alkaline reagents (up to 12pH)

Polyamide 6 Polyamide 6.6

Characterized by optimum mechanical resistance, rigidity, durability, vibration control and abrasion resistance. These characteristics, together with electrical insulating abilities and good chemical resistance make PA 6 a material for general applications in mechanical constructions and for spare parts.

This material has greater mechanical resistance, rigidity, thermal resistance and abrasion resistance than PA 6. It also has greater creep resistace, but its impact strength and its ability of vibration damping are lower. It is suitable for mechanical processing on turning lathes.

PE Polyethylene 1000
Properties:

  • Exceptionally high shock control also in low temperatures (up to -20°C)
  • Very high chemical resistance to acids and alkalis
  • High abrasion resistance
  • Very low kinetic friction coefficient (0.15-0.25)
  • Low density (0.94 g/cm3)
  • Very good electroinsulating and dielectric properties
  • Physiological neutrality

POM Polyacetal
Properties:

  • Physiological neutrality
  • High tensile strength even in low temperatures (up to -50°C)
  • Very high dimensional stability (low absorption of water)
  • Good sliding properties (almost comlete lack of the "stick-slip" effect)
  • Excellent spring-like qualities
  • In the case of POM - C high resistance to alkali environment and high resistance to hydrolysis

POM - C (polyoksymetylen C) POM - H (polyoksymetylen H)
  • Hydrolysis resistance up to 80°C
  • High chemical resistance in the range of 4 < pH < 13
  • Continuous working temperature in air: 100°C
  • Plasticity limit: 70 Mpa
  • Module E: 3000 Mpa
  • Hydrolysis resistance up to 60°C
  • High chemical resistance in the range of 4 < pH < 9
  • Continuous working temperature in air: 90°C
  • Plasticity limit: 80 Mpa
  • Module E: 3300 Mpa
  • Greater creep resistance than in the case of POM-C (approx. 10% higher load carrying capability with the same deformation)
